At Mako, we believe in the power of collaboration to drive innovation in pursuit of our collective ambition; excellence in trading. Our diverse community is connected through a commitment to being the best we can be with the highest standards of integrity.

Join the equity trading team as an Equity Analyst. You will work directly with experienced senior traders and analysts to help them identify risks and opportunities in equities markets that help deliver sustainable short and long-term success.

The Equity Analyst will work closely with our long-term equity strategy and our special situations desk to create and manage research that is relevant, accurate and actionable.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deep-dive research across sectors, equities, and thematic ideas — going beyond surface consensus to develop proprietary insight

  • Identifying and sizing key catalysts, risk factors, and inflection points across covered names and themes
  • Constructing and maintaining detailed financial models, valuation frameworks, and proprietary datasets

  • Continuously refining research processes and finding smarter, more scalable ways to generate edge

What we're looking for:

  • Excellent analytical skills with very strong attention to detail
  • Clear, concise communicator who knows what matters and can cut through noise
